The christian part of the inhabitants of Palma accused the Judes - who controlled the main part of the trade - because of the bad economic situation.

On August 2nd 1391 the jewish ghetto was attacked suddendly and over 300 Judes were killed.

The rebellion of the mallorcan farmers in the years 1450 - 1452.
The troops of Alfonso V. defeat brutally the rebels (Foravilans). Many farmers were executed. After this rebellion Mallorca is re-integrated to the spanish Kingdom again. |

Two of the biggest families which has great influence in Palma - the Armadans and the Espanyols - fight against for an unknown reason. |
In 1490, on November 2nd this old rivalry ends up in a battle in which more than 300 people from both families were killed on their way to the church of Sant Francesc . |
Rebellion of the mallorcan workmen ("Germanies").
The revolution of the 'Foravilans' succeeded and the rich families of Palma are sacked. But King Carlos I. hunted the rebels around their leader Joanot Colom. Many of them were catched, tortured and executed.

In these times many forts, fortress and protection walls were built. For example in Palma or in Pollensa.
