Approximately only 300 Hectares (3 million square meter) is the total size of the wine growing area in Mallorca. The grapes which grow here are worldwide well known to thousands of wine lovers under many famous names like: "Manto negro", "Moll" or "Prensal Blanc". |
Other grapes - which are used and authorized for the production of wine - are "Calet", "Tempranillo", "Monastrell" and "Cabernet Sauvignon".
![]() Grape: Sauvignon blanco Around 10 bodegas (wine cellars) belong to the district around Binissalem which are allowed to use the award on their labels. The biggest are the old wine grower families of Ferrer in Binissalem or Ribas in Consell and Marcià Batle in Santa Maria. |
